Peat

Combs Valley Logs are now able to offer peat briquettes available for collection from our yard in Combs.

Irish Moss Peat is made from natural Irish Peat. It is easy to light and give off a unique flame. Irish Moss peat is a natural product with no additives or binders of any type. They emit approximately a third of smoke coal fires normally produce and they generate low sulphur emissions, helping the environment. Not only this, Irish Moss Peat is drier than most fuels and therefore leaves less debris in the chimney, unlike other solid fuels.

Irish Moss peat briquettes are extremely flexible as they can be used in domestic fires, with or without back boilers as well as solid fuel cookers and closed stoves.

With only 12% moisture content, the peat bales are easy to carry and much lighter, cleaner and less bulky than coal and wood and therefore make the ideal fuel. Each bale consists of 22 briquettes.
